SIPA – Lightweight Furniture Solutions for the Marine Industry

SIPA is a complete furniture solution developed in collaboration with Standard AS. It is more than just a new board product—it is a comprehensive furniture system crafted from lightweight, recycled PET-based materials, backed by rigorous engineering, testing, and technology.

Roles in SIPA Development:

Plaat Detail is responsible for sourcing lightweight core materials, including various PET and XPS-based core boards specifically developed to meet our requirements.
Plaat Detail sources and laminates these PET and XPS-based core materials with HPL (High-Pressure Laminate).
Standard AS provides the furniture engineering, combining various lightweight laminate components into a functional and durable structure.
Standard manufactures the SIPA furniture solutions – including finished lightweight shelving, cabinets, wet room elements, and other furniture components complete with suitable hardware.
