It features a solid, homogeneous core and a high-quality decorative layer, giving the material a very stylish and contemporary look. Compact laminate is particularly well-suited for solutions where both design and high durability are essential.
Compact laminate is a solid-grade laminate, typically ranging in thickness from 2mm to 20mm. It is a finished board that is functional, aesthetic, and easy to process. Unlike standard HPL, compact laminate is not bonded to a substrate – the material itself is a strong, stable, and self-supporting board.
It is manufactured in layers under high pressure, where paper and resins form a dense, strong core. The top decorative surface determines the appearance: stone texture, wood grain, or solid color.
The result is a highly durable, scratch-resistant, and moisture-proof material suitable for environments where standard laminate might not be resilient enough.
Compact laminates generally feature a black core with either single- or double-sided decor. It is also possible to choose color-core laminate, where the color remains consistent throughout the entire thickness.
Unlike HPL, compact laminate is not pressed onto a substrate. It is a standalone board that can be processed immediately if needed.
The laminate is cut into components of the required dimensions. The edges are milled or sanded to achieve a clean and elegant finish. If necessary, cut-outs are made for sinks, faucets, fittings, or technical solutions.
